The French Chamber ESG Committee Launch

The French Chamber launched our first Club ESG last week inviting sustainability leaders of major French and international companies to establish our platform to learn from the best practices and common challenges shared across industries.

After hearing a short introduction from participants across the table, we were honored to hear from Revital SHPANGENTAL and Shalom CHEN from L'Oréal as they walked us through their journey of how CSR and ESG awareness raising in their role.

In our meeting, all participants shared that ESG strategy is an important assessment of their business operations, but how to implement the business strategy according to local governmental policy, regarding different industries having their own challenges. We discussed essential topics like ESG education, cost, collaboration, data transparency, stakeholder alignment, and supplier cooperation. We also heard from Arthur WITTOUCK on Decathlon’s global ESG strategy and Charlie Chao from York on employee well-being, Linda Wang from Chanel, then we had a closing note from Benoit de Vulpillieres on animal welfare.

A big thanks to L'Oréal for providing the meeting place, Eva Leihener-Stefan, Chairwoman & Stephane PEDEN, General Manager of the French Chamber, followed with a warm welcome speech. Revital Shpangental, Founder and chair of Amenone Venture, shared insights on driving innovation and ESG standards. She is dedicated to work integrity, leading digital transformation, driving innovation and implementing ESG standards. Shalom Chen from L’Oréal presented L’Oréal for the Future, highlighting their sustainability initiatives its forward-looking strategy as a case study. Last but not least, Tammy CHU the PR Manager of the French Chamber Taiwan kicked off the event.
