This year, the organization aims to plant 400 Tassle Flower Trees.

One Tree One Mountain 一樹一山 is the CCIFT's charity of choice working to preserve the culture and ecology of the Taiwanese aboriginal group, Atayal.

"Villagers were selling land to make money"

Wind Huang, the founder of the One Tree One Mountain 一樹一山, was seeking solutions to bring value to his Atayal village where he found many villagers were leaving the mountain and selling land to make money.

Tassle flower trees are originals to the mountain forests of Hsinchu, much like the Cherry Blossom Trees of Japan, the white flowers form a magnificent scenery in the village bringing liveliness to the village once more.
